      Established in the year 2002, the Department of Computer Science at Taliparamba Arts & Science College has been at the forefront of delivering quality education in the field of computing for over two decades. As one of the pioneering departments of the college, we have consistently strived to uphold excellence in both academic and practical aspects of computer science education.
      Our journey began with the introduction of one of the first computer science courses in the college, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic offerings. Since then, we have been committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment that nurtures creativity, innovation, and critical thinking among our students.
      In 2009, we expanded our academic portfolio with the launch of the Master of Science (MSc) program in Computer Science. This initiative aimed to provide advanced education and specialized training to aspiring computer scientists, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the rapidly evolving field of technology.
      While our MSc program garnered praise and recognition for its academic rigor and industry relevance, we unfortunately had to discontinue the course in 2016 due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite this setback, our dedication to providing quality education remained unwavering, and we continued to explore new avenues to fulfill our mission.
      In 2023, we proudly introduced a new program, Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), reflecting our commitment to adapting to the changing needs of the industry and the aspirations of our students. The BCA program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of computer applications and software development, preparing students for rewarding careers in various sectors of the IT industry.
Today, the Department of Computer Science stands as a testament to our enduring commitment to excellence, innovation, and academic integrity.
