NSS unit of Taliparamba Arts & Science College Conducted Special seven days Camp at Govt. UP School Morazha from 24th December 2023 to 30th December 2023.

Blood donation camp was conducted by NSS Taliparamba Arts & Science Unit.

The Department of Computer Science hosted the SparkSlides Showdown Presentation Competition on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the Smart Classroom. The event aimed to harness the power of presentations and showcase the talents of first semester students from various departments. It was a day filled with enthusiastic participation, creativity, and talent.

On March 13, 2024, the Department of Computer Science & Application at Taliparamba Arts and Science College organized an industrial visit to Mizone Technology Park in Mangattuparambu, Kannur. The visit was attended by 91 students, comprising first-year BSc Computer Science and BCA students, as well as second-year BSc Computer Science students. The highlight of the visit was a session on Startups & Skill Development led by Mr. Subhash Babu K, Director of Mizone, where students gained valuable insights into the practical applications of AI and its significance in today’s digital landscape. Additionally, representatives from Btrac Software Company shared their knowledge, further enriching the students’ understanding of technology. The visit concluded with a campus exploration, allowing students to immerse themselves in the innovative environment of Mizone. Overall, the industrial visit provided students with a holistic perspective on technology and entrepreneurship, inspiring them to explore innovative career paths in the field of computer science.

Chief Guest : Shaji V Sebastian (Retired Senior Scientist ISRO)

The celebration kicked off with an inspiring keynote address delivered by Shaji V Sebastian, a retired Senior Scientist from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Mr. Sebastian’s insights into the role of space science and technology captivated the audience, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing global challenges.

Throughout the day, participants engaged in a diverse array of activities designed to promote scientific literacy and stimulate intellectual curiosity. Interactive workshops, panel discussions, and poster presentations provided platforms for students to showcase their research projects and engage with experts in the field.

The Kerala Government’s Knowledge Economy Mission is envisioned as a treasure trove of employment opportunities, aiming to provide jobs for 20 lakh people by 2026. As part of this mission, on Tuesday, 28th May, there will be a CONNECT CAREER TO CAMPUS program under the KKEM initiative of the Government of Kerala. This program targets final year (UG/PG) students and candidates who passed out in 2023 from Arts & Science Colleges in Kannur district. The event includes the organization of a “Job Fair” at Taliparam Arts and Science College, Kanjirangad.

The Department organized a seminar “ Co-operative sector in Kerala in the current scenario- its relevance, opportunities and challenges” on 17th November 2022 as part of 69th All India Co-operative Week Celebration. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. P M Ismael (Principal, Taliparamba arts and Science College) and the seminar was lead by Mr. Satheesh Kumar K (Senior Auditor, Co-operative Department, Taliparamba). The first prize winners in the co-operative quiz program were awarded cash prize and memento by the resource person.
